Where I'm From:
I grew up in a very rural part of Northern Minnesota near the mining town of Hibbing (home of Bob Dylan). The winters were too long and harsh for me to handle, so in 2013 I moved to Houston, TX for my first teaching job.

Education/Teaching Experience:
I graduated with a degree in Math Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2013.

 

I am starting my 5th year of teaching Math.

I taught Algebra 1 for 2 years at MacArthur Ninth Grade School in Aldine ISD.

I taught 7th grade math at Lanier for 2 years.

​

Now I have the privilege of working with the same group of kids in 8th grade!!! 

Hobbies:
When I'm not teaching math, I enjoy creating educational resources, playing volleyball, watercolor painting, urban gardening, cooking, traveling, and singing in my boyfriend's band!
